Community College Applicants

• The Scholarship offered by the Rossmoor Scholarship Foundation is $4,000.00.   Add-on Scholarships are $2,500.00.

 

• To be eligible to receive a scholarship you must be a student at Diablo Valley College (DVC) or Los Medanos College (LMC).

 

• To be eligible you must be graduating in the Spring 2026 or meet the requirements to transfer and you plan to attend a 4-year college or university or a vocational training school that is accredited by a federally approved accrediting agency. 

 

• For those eligible students from Diablo Valley College or Los Medanos College (LMC) the on-line application process will open on November 17, 2025.

 

• To apply, you must have:

  • A GPA of at least 3.00

  • A SAI (Student Aid Index) from either FAFSA (2026-2027 Form) or the CADAA (California Dream Act Application) of no more than 32000. (You can click on these links to learn more about these programs.)

• During the application process it is recommended that you:

  • Confirm your teacher has received your email request for a letter of recommendation (LOR) and uploaded the LOR to your application.

  • Ensure that your transcript and SAI have been uploaded to your application.

 

• Applications must be 100% complete by the closing date, February 2, 2026, to be considered.

 

• Interviews for eligible scholarship candidates will occur during the last half of February 2026.

 

• To receive your scholarship funds, you must be enrolled in the fall semester for at least 12 credits at a 4-year accredited institution or vocational training school.
