Community College Applicants

To be eligible to receive a scholarship you must be a graduating student at Diablo Valley College (DVC) or Los Medanos College (LMC).

After graduation, you must be planning to attend a 4-year college or university or a vocational training school that is accredited by a federally approved accrediting agency. 

For those graduating from Diablo Valley College or Los Medanos College (LMC) the on-line application process opens on December 2, 2024 and closes on February 18, 2025.

To apply, you must have:

• A GPA of at least 3.00

• A SAI (Student Aid Index) from either FAFSA or the CADAA (California Dream Act Application) of no more than $32,000.

During the application process it is recommended that you:

• Confirm your teacher has received your email request for a letter of recommendation (LOR) and uploaded the LOR to your application.

• Ensure that your transcript and SAI have been uploaded to your application.

Applications must be 100% complete by the closing date to be considered.

Interviews for eligible scholarship candidates will occur from February 25 to March 7, 2025.

To receive your scholarship funds, you must be enrolled in the fall semester for at least 12 credits at a 4-year accredited institution or vocational training school.
