Rossmoor Walnut Creek (RWC) Affiliation Scholarships

The RWC Scholarship offered by the Rossmoor Scholarship Foundation is $3,500.00. Add-on Scholarships are $2,500.00.

To be eligible you must be an employee of the Rossmoor Walnut Creek (RWC) or the child of a RWC employee.

The RWC employee must have worked for RWC for at least one year prior to the application process and continue to be employed until the scholarship payment has been received by the award recipient. Seasonal or part-time workers must have begun work by April 1, 2023 and have worked at least 1,040 hours in 2023 prior to submission of the application and continue to be employed until the scholarship payment has been received by the award recipient.

To apply, the applicant must have:

GPA of at least 3.00.

SAI (Student Aid Index) from either FAFSA (2026-2027 Form) or the CADAA (California Dream Act Application) of no more than $32,000. (You can click on these links to learn more about these programs.)

Please note which application you submit depends upon whether the employee or the employee’s child has attended an “advanced education” institution. Those requirements are explained below.

RWC employee applicants:

High school graduates who have not attended an advanced education institution. Must be planning to attend either a community college, college, university, or a vocational training school that is accredited by a federally approved accrediting agency.

The on-line application process opens on November 17, 2025.

​To receive the scholarship payment a student must be enrolled in the fall 2026 semester for at least 6 credits in either an accredited community college, college, university, or a vocational training school.

The on-line application process closes on January 12, 2026.

High school seniors or high school graduates who have not attended an advanced education institution. Must be planning to attend either a community college, college, university, or a vocational training school that is accredited by a federally approved accrediting agency.

​To receive the scholarship payment a student must be enrolled in the fall 2026 semester for at least 12 credits in either an accredited community college, college, university, or a vocational training school.

Interviews for all eligible scholarship candidates will occur in February to early March 2026.
