Golden Rain Foundation (GRF) Affiliation Scholarships

  • The GRF Scholarship offered by the Rossmoor Scholarship Foundation Scholarship is $3,500.00.  Add-on Scholarships are $2,500.00.

  • To be eligible you must be an employee of the Golden Rain Foundation (GRF) or the child of a GRF employee.

 

  • The GRF employee must have worked for GRF for at least one year prior to the application process and continue to be employed until the scholarship payment has been received by the award recipient. Seasonal or part-time workers must have begun work by April 1, 2023 and have worked at least 1,040 hours in 2023 prior to submission of the application and continue to be employed until the scholarship payment has been received by the award recipient.

Please note which application you submit depends upon whether the employee or the employee’s child has attended an “advanced education” institution.  Those requirements are explained below.

  • GRF employee applicants:

    • High school graduates who have not attended an advanced education institution. Must be planning to attend either a community college, college, university, or a vocational training school that is accredited by a federally approved accrediting agency.

    • The on-line application process opens on December 2, 2024 and closes on February 3, 2025.

    • ​To receive the scholarship payment a student must be enrolled in the fall 2025 semester for at least 6 credits in either an accredited community college, college, university, or a vocational training school.

  • GRF employee child applicants:

    • High school seniors or high school graduates who have not attended an advanced education institution.  Must be planning to attend either a community college, college, university, or a vocational training school that is accredited by a federally approved accrediting agency.

    • The on-line application process opens on December 2, 2024, and closes on February 3, 2025.

    • ​To receive the scholarship payment a student must be enrolled in the fall 2025 semester for at least 12 credits in either an accredited community college, college, university, or a vocational training school.

    • ​To receive the scholarship payment a student must be enrolled in the fall 2025 semester for at least 6 credits in either an accredited community college, college, university, or a vocational training school

 

  • GRF employee child applicants:

    • High school graduates who have attended an advanced education institution.   Must be planning to attend either a community college, college, university, or a vocational training school that is accredited by a federally approved accrediting agency.​​

  • The online application process opens on December 2, 2024 and closes on February 18, 2025.

 

  • To receive the scholarship payment, a student must be enrolled in the fall 2025 semester for at least 12 units in either an accredited community college, college, university, or a vocational training school.
