Career Technical Education (CTE) Applicants

This is a limited pilot program initially available only to students attending Los Medanos College (LMC).

The Scholarship offered by the Rossmoor Scholarship Foundation (RSF) for Career Technical Education (CTE) is $4,000.00

To be eligible to receive a scholarship you must be a student at LMC with a declared major in one of the following CTE disciplines and pursuing a Certificate of Achievement or an Associate degree:
Administration of Justice; Automotive Technology; Business & Management; Computer Support & Information Technology; Early Childhood Education; Electrical & Instrumentation Technology (ETEC); Fire Technology; Graphic Communication; Journalism; Nursing; Process Technology (PTEC); Recording Arts and Welding Technology

The on-line application process for eligible LMC students will open on January 12, 2026.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a limited pilot program and only the first 10 completed qualified applications from LMC student applicants will be considered for a scholarship award.

To apply, you must have:

A GPA of at least 2.50.

Completed a minimum of 9 credit units in a declared CTE discipline.

A SAI (Student Aid Index) from either FAFSA (2025-2026 or 2026-2027 Form) or the CADAA (California Dream Act Application) of no more than 32000. (You can click on these links to learn more about these programs.)

​During the application process it is recommended that you:

Confirm your teacher, counselor or employer has received your request for a letter of recommendation (LOR) so it is available for you to upload into your application.

Ensure that your transcript, SAI and photo are available and in the required format to upload to your application.

Once you open an application form you should have available all the information required to complete the application. You must COMPLETE THE ENTIRE APPLICATION and upload all of the required documents before you select “SUBMIT.” You will not be able to return to the application form to change anything AFTER SUBMITTING the completed form.​

Applications must be 100% complete by the closing date, February 13,2026, to be considered.

Interviews for eligible scholarship candidates will occur during the last half of February 2026.

To receive your scholarship funds, you must be enrolled in the fall 2026 semester at LMC for at least 6 credit units.
